Smartstone presents custom-made bar for ArchiBuild Expo
As an industry leader in engineered surfaces, Smartstone is proud to present a stunning custom-made bar at the ArchiBuild Expo to be held from 15th to 17th of June at the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre.
Co-located with Design Show Australia in one venue that weekend, ArchiBuild Expo is the nation’s premier exhibition for architecture and building solutions – presenting the world’s leading brands, manufacturers, technology and product innovations for architects and builders of commercial and residential projects. Design Show Australia is the place for interior designers, specifiers, stylists and decorators to discover amazing products and materials.
With each show carefully curated to attract key decision-makers, the joint three-day event will be open for industry and trade professionals from all over the Australia on all event days and to the public only on Saturday, 17th June.
Centrally and strategically located at the venue, the 8-metre bar is a welcoming space to converge and designed for meet-ups with associates and customers attending the annual event. To complement the beautiful and inspiring space, Smartstone had partnered with another industry leader, GlobeWest, for furnishings. Based in Melbourne, GlobeWest is a leading supplier to the Australian interiors industry and at the forefront of designing, developing, distributing and marketing a covetable range of attainable furniture and homewares.
To introduce its new low silica range with recycled content, Smartstone is showcasing Calacatta Dior as surface material for the custom-made bar that features natural-looking veins and spectacular curve edges with a length that can accommodate seating for at least 6 guests. With a jumbo slab size of 3200mm x 1600mm, Smartstone surfaces are known for its magnificent vein designs and ideal for indoor areas such as benchtops for both homes and commercial spaces.
A stunning replication of luxurious Italian Calacatta marble, Calacatta Dior is a new surface distinguished by bold to intricate veining of contrasting greys on an ivory-white background.
In collaboration with Smartstone, Deluxe Stone will fabricate and install the benchtops for the bar. Their exceptional craftsmanship combined with customisation and attention to detail function inspires Deluxe Stone with originality and valuable appeal that deliver exquisite and refined finishing.
As the exclusive engineered stone sponsor for ArchiBuild Expo and the Design Show, Smartstone will also exhibit its new range as well as indoor and outdoor solutions in stand N44.
More than a versatile and beautiful new collection, the new low silica range is part of Smartstone’s transition to a new engineered base: Smartstone NewGen. Find out more about this innovative formulation with low silica and up to 56% recycled content.
Event attendees are invited to visit the ArchiBuild bar area and view one of the first installations of Smartstone’s new low silica surface.
With a floor space of 150 square metres for guests to network and socialise, the bar by Smartstone will be open to serve food and drinks from 10am to 5pm on event days.
