With its crisp white background and subtle veins, the beautiful Davinci Blanco surfaces as benchtop and splashback provide the right balance to this sophisticated Hamptons-style design by Cobbitty Grove Kitchens.
Inspired by the coastal vibe of Long Island in New York, Hamptons style kitchens are casual with a touch of class and elements such as marble benchtops, shaker cabinetry, timber floors and pendant lighting.
As an alternative to real marble benchtops, Smartstone offers engineered surfaces that are more durable while perfectly replicating the natural beauty of stone in a low silica formulation.
Veering away from the traditional all-white, this kitchen highlights the magnificent effect of striking contrast between the cabinetry and appliances, particularly the black refrigerator and the luxurious free-standing oven with brass handles, matching the rest of the cabinetry.
Central in the kitchen, the massive Davinci Blanco island with a length of 3200mm and width of 1500mm accommodates casual bar dining for four, enabling the host to entertain guests during food preparation.
“The island at 3200mm x 1500mm utilises an entire slab and the expert masonry work on the edge mould gives the stone a traditional feel to suit the style of the home,” according to Cobbitty Grove Kitchens. All Smartstone surfaces come in a jumbo slab size of 3200mm x 1600mm which allows for more design flexibility and lower per square metre rates.
Edged with a 40mm double bull-nose, the island features an overhang sink with brass vintage style mixer taps and a complementary green base, adding a cool colour into the kitchen.
“The warm and cool variation of the veining perfectly complements both the green cabinetry, along with the timber and brass elements used throughout the space.”
A veined upgrade available to home builders, Davinci Blanco also made an ideal splashback, giving it a solid clean surface that is both practical and stylish.
