There are many ways to spruce up a kitchen. A fresh coat of paint can do wonders. New cabinetry refreshes and maximises available space. Right lighting can liven up and create a specific mood.

In this kitchen renovation in Camden NSW, new Smartstone benchtops and splashbacks elevated the kitchen to a whole new level that exudes beauty and luxury.

Designed with a vision to modernise, the kitchen was updated with brand new cabinetry and features an undermount sink, LED strip lights, a fancy brass pot-filler, a brushed gold water filter tap and 40mm edged benchtops in Smartstone Calacatta Crema.

Utlising the U-shape layout, Calacatta Crema provided full coverage for the stovetop, sink and bar dining area as well as splashback, eliminating hard to clean tile grout. All Smartstone surfaces come in a jumbo slab size of 3200mm x 1600mm, allowing greater design flexibility and a lower per square metre rate.

From the exclusive range of magnificent surfaces that perfectly recreate natural stone in a low silica and recycled base, the luxurious Calacatta Crema features veining in creamy brown and rich gold hues on a pure white background, making it the perfect benchtop for this kitchen with gold fixtures.

“Smartstone was chosen for its high quality and its unique veining pattern and colouring,” according to the team at Macarthur Marble & Granite.

As part of its commitment to providing the best products, Smartstone has transitioned its entire collection into a low silica base with up to 56% recycled content called Smartstone NewGen while introducing 15 new surfaces.

Due to limited square meterage, not all kitchens can accommodate a large island. This kitchen proves that despite its size, it can still incorporate a small-scale island, a must-have for modern kitchens. Ideal for a compact space, the mini island, which also features a Calacatta Crema benchtop, provides extra storage and a little bit more countertop space for food preparation.
