Initially launched as a special edition, Statuario Dior has emerged to be the strong favourite among the Smartstone collection of natural-looking veined engineered stone surfaces and has been specified in many homes and projects all across Australia.

Featured in this Queenslander Barn Project by éclat building co. , Statuario Dior has proven to be one of the most beautiful engineered stone benchtops in the market, perfectly complementing the builder’s exceptional finishes and high quality workmanship.

“Lots of white, oak, brass, and most importantly beautiful stone benchtops. Simple but sophisticated with detailed finishes,” explained Aleks Marer of éclat building co. , an award winning Brisbane boutique building company specialising in home renovation projects.

Right in the centre of the kitchen, the elegant Statuario Dior benchtop with an impressive curved edge on both ends clearly sets the tone in the open plan home. Showcasing the mixture and contrast of heavy and delicate veins on the surface, the superb interpretation of precious Italian Statuario marble delivers high impact with its a luminous white background and gentle appeal.

Designed for a family who spends a lot of time around the kitchen, the benchtop was designed to accommodate seating on both sides with the sink on the back wall to allow more island workspace for food preparation as well as family bonding.

“The kitchen in the Queenslander Barn project is truly the pièce de resistance, cherry on top and the heart of the home,” Aleks said. “The client chose Smartstone Statuario Dior for their benchtops to add texture and softness to the all-white kitchen. The vein is soft and subtle, yet adds a touch of luxury.”

Using a white-on-white palette, the different textures in the kitchen provided by the batten style cabinetry and island base combined with square splashback tiles and the Statuario Dior benchtop add softness and warmth to the entire home that is exposed to the subtropical Brisbane climate. Separated only by a glass sliding door, the kitchen opens up to an alfresco lounge and dining area, allowing natural light and outdoor living to flow seamlessly into the home.

From the exclusive range magnificent surfaces that perfectly replicate natural stone in durable quartz, Statuario Dior also created an incredible and stunning effect as benchtop for all the bathroom vanities.

“The same stone was also used on the all the vanities to add consistency to the home, and once again bring some glam to the bathrooms,” added Aleks.

Just like the kitchen, the bathrooms also feature batten style panels with brass tapware and stunning Statuario Dior benchtops.
