Merging aesthetics and timeless luxury with Calacatta Viola

In the Sydney eastern suburb of Woollahra, The Bay Interior Co had a vision to create an upscale space for a real estate agency.

This vision came into reality through the efforts and skills of creative director Samantha and her team. Armed with a passion for creating captivating spaces, The Bay Interior Co took on the design challenge to merge contemporary aesthetics with timeless luxury.

To achieve this, the team chose every element with meticulous care. The flooring features wide-plank oak in a soft, natural hue, setting a warm tone for the space. The walls are painted in a refined off-white, complemented by muted colours and aged brass fixtures that add depth without overwhelming the senses.

And for the credenza, kitchen and bathroom benchtops, the team specified the vibrant and burgundy-veined Calacatta Viola from the Smartstone Sintered Collection, creating an utterly luxurious office with the striking appeal of Calacatta marble.

""I instantly fell for Calacatta Viola. It had the perfect blend of durability and allure,” Samantha commented about her specific choice of stone.

Making a bold visual statement, Calacatta Viola is Smartstone's interpretation of a unique and striking Italian marble quarried in the Apuan Alps. Owing to advanced manufacturing and printing technology, veined surfaces in the Sintered Collection offer through-body veining or matching veins and colour on 20mm exposed edges. This unique feature is exclusive to Smartstone sintered surfaces.

Dramatic and developed to create stunning centrepieces for both residential and commercial spaces, Calacatta Viola fit the brief to design an environment that exudes sophistication and warmth, perfectly reflecting the agency’s commitment to quality service and high-end properties.

“We aimed to craft a space that not only showcases their premium listings but also provides a welcoming atmosphere for clients,” added Samantha.

The real estate agency office layout features a central workstation for 12 staff members, equipped with the latest technology, while the private meeting room is soundproofed and filled with natural light.
